A Startling Message from the Other Side - ITC Recording Session, Luxembourg 1994

Jules and Maggy Harsch-Fischbach
(some data about their ITC work is available at idigitalmedium.com)

ITC journalist Mark Macy flew to Luxembourg during the summer of 1994 for a meeting with Maggy and Jules Harsch-Fischbach at their home.  Accompanying him was Temple of Understanding organization founder Juliet Hollister and her friend Alison van Dyk.  Throughout the world, news of the Harsch-Fischbachs' paranormal 'Instrumental Transcommunication' (ITC) experiences was becoming known and changing attitudes about the nature of life.  An account of some of the ITC messages heard and recorded at the meeting is recounted in Chapter 3 of Macy's book Miracles in the Storm (2001).

Jules informed us that a few days earlier, the Timestream spirit group had told Maggy that this meeting with Juliet, Alison and me was a very important one.  My impression was that much would be determined that day about the fate or direction of ITC.  As you might guess, that was surprising news to us, and also a little bit awesome.  Was something expected of us that none of us knew about?

We were sitting around the couple's dining room table getting to know each other.  A configuration of radios tuned between stations stood on a table a few feet away on the other side of the sofa, emitting a soft blanket of white noise that filled the room with a gentle sound of static.

Suddenly a tiny, high-pitched voice pierced the noise.

"Contact!"

Maggy walked quickly to the radios.

"Hallo?  Hallo?  she said, adjusting the dials.

In a moment, the radio sounds faded away, and the voice of spirit colleague Konstantin Raudive faded in:

"It can only work when the vibrations of those present are in complete harmony, and when their aims and intentions are pure," the spirit voice stated with some enthusiasm.  This introductory comment, which presented a basic principle of ITC contacts, was followed by very personal messages for Juliet and Alison.  Then:

"Last but not least, Mark Macy.  You know by experience, Mark, how dangerous drugs of all kinds can be."

Indeed, having grown up in the sixties, I had been exposed to heavy drug use in college among fellow students and friends.  While I never developed any habits or addictions for illegal drugs, I did wrestle for a number of years with the more socially acceptable substances — alcohol, nicotine and caffeine.  After my cancer, I had some troubles with addictive prescription painkillers.  I had indeed seen the destructive results of all sorts of drugs.

Konstantin Raudive continued, "Try to warn humanity that they not only alter their present lives on your side but also influence in a negative way their future lives."

One consideration is that the results of drug use could impair clear thinking and contemplation of life where otherwise there could have been expanded spiritual awareness.  Warnings about drugs and commentary about addiction can be found in channeled communication transcripts.  One published 1986 lecture transcript offers a perspective about marijuana use after the 'channeled entity' asked: "Can you say 'no' and walk away, and not care what others think?"  Mental impairment is something known to be associated with the drug along with such expressions as 'pothead' and 'dope.'

When your brain is gone, you can no longer receive the essence and the thought of the god that surrounds you; you are dead of mind.  Every time you inhale the weed, you are killing yourself; you are losing the ability to be happy because there is less and less there to facilitate the electrum of the thoughts that incur joy.

Many of you can't even say "no" to a joint.

The statements had been made during preceding sessions:  ". . . many of you are lost in social consciousness . . . if you are looking for knowledge, you must transcend the limited specter of social consciousness . . . You have to be sovereign.  Sovereign!  When you follow, you learn only to follow and you lose your power . . ."

The same 'channeled entity' commented about addiction in 2014:

. . . if we turn it around and forget the creative process and simply pursue the pleasure then we are open to substances that are mind altering and body altering and they become the way that we bypass logical thinking, inventive thinking that manifest the new and we are just hooked on drugs to recreate the past over and over and over every day.  Pretty soon you can't enjoy yourself without getting high.

Another prominent contemporary 'channeled entity'—'Lazaris' speaking through Jach Purselis quoted about the topic of addictions in Lazaris Interview Book 1 (1988).  Lazaris explained how to deal with addictions spiritually —

The basis for any change is first of all to recognize the problem and then to acknowledge it.  Once it has been so acknowledged, you are in a position where you can honestly forgive yourself.  And after forgiveness comes change.  These four criteria are the four bases, the four movements of energy, that are required to produce any kind of change, whether you do that spiritually or via the consensus reality.

Often, however, the consensus reality sets forth a structure of change that begins, indeed, with recognition, but then moves into blaming others or finding excuses and rationales.  It turns thirdly to blaming yourself, being self-critical and self-denying and self-punishing.  You are hoping that out of this will come change.  Obviously, it does not work.

If you will recognize your addiction, you must first decide what, if anything, you really want to do about it.  There are certain addictions that may be imposing self-harm and have no particular impact upon anyone else in your reality.  Even so, you may still decide that you don't particularly care to change or work with or alter in any way your addictive behavior.  If that is your choice, then that is your choice.  Make it, and don't bother trying to change your addiction.  Don't put yourself through the twists and turns and paces that will lead you nowhere.  If you really do not mind your addiction, and no one else is really adversely affected, you may want to go ahead and keep your addiction.  That is fine.  You see, we do not judge you or your addiction.

If, however, you do want to change after you make the recognition, really recognizing and owning the addiction, then we advise you acknowledge it.  More than just a word, acknowledgement means you must really own the particular addiction.  It is important to root out the cause, the initial survival mechanism if there is one, and to understand it as fully and completely as you can, and then to see how it went wrong, where it outlived its usefulness, its purposefulness, its value.  Own the fact that it is your addiction.

We have sometimes used an analogy about a grand and glorious bridge in the San Francisco area, the Golden Gate Bridge.  If you rather go downtown anywhere in the world and offer to sell that bridge they might well lock you up, because you don't own it.  But if indeed you could produce papers to prove that it was yours, then not only would you not be locked up, you would rather be treated in a grand and glorious style.

Therefore, you cannot get rid of what you do not own.  You cannot get rid of your addiction until you own that it is, indeed, yours, and that you are the source, that you are the cause.  It is your addiction.  Nobody made you do it.  You chose it yourself.

By this point, just when you are sure  that you are the lowest scum on the Earth, forgive yourself.  This forgiveness, again, is more than just a word, but it is also the word as well.  It is important to really dig in and to honestly forgive yourself and to say so, to hear the words spoken, to see the words written: "I forgive myself.  I am forgiven."

It may take several times, several attempts, several passes, to fully and honestly forgive yourself.  Once you have forgiven yourself, however, the change can take place in a number of ways, in any number of forms, from a simple decision to a very elaborate support system.  The methods may vary, but the common base is desire for, imagination to, and expectation of — and expectation of — change.

Do not become addicted to your method of change.  Realize it is you who are causing the changing.  Therefore, seek and find a method — whether it is a book you read, a television show you watch, a workshop you attend, an elaborate detoxification program in which you enroll — it doesn't really matter.  You are the cause of the addiction.  You are the cause of change.  You are the cause of your freedom.  Give your power to yourself rather than giving it to the addiction or to the cure of the addiction.

Perhaps it becomes clear then, in looking at what the messages of addiction are, at what the criteria of evaluation are, and at what the ways of changing are, that addictions have a great deal to do with power, whether you give it away, or whether you keep it for yourself.

Instrumental Transcommunication and the Media

This ITC image is from a video transmission received by Hans Otto Konig on a basic television set.  A clip of the video was shown during a spiritually pathbreaking 1995 New York City TV newscast report that now may be viewed on You Tube.

In 1995 New York City TV station WCBS-TV aired a news report about Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC) entitled "Voices from Beyond."  ITC researcher/author Mark Macy chronicled in his book Miracles in the Storm (2001) some of the circumstances leading to the 1995 American news telecast, an unusual one among the typical corporate news media offerings of the era.  In October that year was also seen the ABC primetime special about paranormal phenomena  "Ghosts, Mediums, Psychics: Put To The Test" with an episode from the special broadcast the following year on "20/20."

The ITC manifestations are described by Mark Macy in the first chapter as commencing at "a time when the world was preparing for a spiritual renaissance."  One can only wonder when such a renaissance of widespread expanded consciousness may gain momentum as accurate information about the variety of 'paranormal phenomena' cases remain unknown or ignored by a multitude of people.  Anyone relying on the commercial mainstream news media must not be aware of the influence of bureaucratic corporate agendas behind the scenes.

The 1995 WCBS newscast report suggests that there can be successful breakthroughs in commercial media journalism with innovative spiritual topics addressed factually.  Michele Marsh is heard responding to reports about otherworldly telephone calls from 'Konstantin Raudive,' identifying the voice as that of the late psychologist and ITC pioneer.  She is heard to declare: "Right now you might be wondering, 'But where's the proof?'  Couldn't anyone make a call and fake a voice like this?"  The question ignores the extensive body of testimonials and evidence resulting from ITC research during the 1980s and '90s.  In the newscast, footage is then shown of a university professor commenting about the evidence despite having so knowledge whatsoever of the scientific work involved.  Marsh thereafter explained about ITC:

There have been thousands of contacts in 11 countries around the world, including the U.S.  They all come through electronic devices.

According to a team of ITC experimenters in Luxembourg, these images just appeared on their home computers.  And later words on those same computers explained the pictures.  And of you choose to believe it, here's the message from the spirit world — that the Other Side resembles life here on Earth with mountains, rivers, trees and homes but there's one big difference.  Nothing is matter as we know it.

German physicist Dr. Ernst Senkwoski is next introduced as having "devoted decades of his life to the study of ITC."  Marsh asked him: "And what type of messages are you getting?"  He commented about his perception of life in the world of the communicators: "Apparently it is not a world like ours here with space and time as we know it.  But it seems to be something like a dream-like world in which your ideas are reality for you."

He meant that it would seem physical limitations aren't the same on the Other Side as on Earth.  Mark Macy wrote in Miracles in the Storm: "When we die on Earth and take up residence in the astral world, our new body is whole and in the peak of health until we decide to move on to the ethereal realms . . . Many mystics say we have three of these Light bodies, or sheaths, around our soul.  They have no form; they are like balls of living energy or clouds of pure love and wisdom."

Considering Michele Marsh's pioneering 1995 network newscast report today, it seems obvious that the subject of Instrumental Transcommunication needs a more detailed approach to be effective.  Examples of longer and more substantial documentaries about ITC are the topics of recent articles at this blog.

Mark Macy wrote in Miracles in the Storm:

In the 1980s, a few scientists and researchers claimed to be enjoying long dialogs with spirit colleagues by telephone and radio, and they began to report images from Beyond through TVs and computers.  Those events apparently were being made possibly by the collaboration of ethereal beings, or angels, and I have to make it clear that they were miracles, not phenomena.

Miracles involve the influences of higher spiritual powers.

Retired industrialist George Meek became Macy's spiritual mentor.  Meek with retired physics professor Dr. Ernst Senkowski had traveled throughout Europe visiting ITC researchers as there were widespread experiences of the miraculous ITC.

In 1983, a German experimenter named Hans Otto Konig had successfully demonstrated his "Ultrasound" device to his audience of millions during a live television show broadcast from Station RTL (Radio-Television Luxembourg).  Konig and the program's host, Rainer Holbe, stood wide-eyed as loud, clear voices were conveyed through the device — voices that technicians and engineers could not explain by any normal means.

Following this event, the research of Maggy and Jules Harsch-Fischback in Luxembourg also resulted in astonishing evidence.  "They had received their first loud, clear spirit voices through radio sounds in 1985, their first spirit telephone call in 1986, their first clear television images from the astral worlds in 1986, and computer contacts beginning in 1988."  In 1993 the couple received their first fax machine print-out of a communication from "a dedicated team of spirit colleagues calling themselves Timestream."  An international research association formed around the Harsch-Fischbachs in 1989 and several years later Macy agreed to collaborate with them and Hans Heckmann to publish the couple's research results.

Mark Macy decided that "ITC needed good publicity in North America" but there was a lack of interest beyond some telephone conversations that went nowhere—from a producer of a paranormal-themed informational series called "The Extraordinary" and from an enthusiastic yet unrealistic 'Hollywood agent.'

While the research was heating up quickly in Europe, it was still virtually unheard of on this side of the Atlantic.  In Europe, information was pouring across the veil through various experimenters' televisions, computers, telephones, and radios in the form of voices, images, and text.  Here in the States a small network of experimenters were receiving little more than short, faint spirit voices on tape.  Several of us had received a short flurry of [anomalous] phone calls a few months earlier, but otherwise ITC had not opened up in the States as it had in Europe.

I was determined to spread the word.  If enhanced ITC contacts were more widespread in the United States, the field would attract the attention of the American public.  Then, as has always been the case throughout the history of our country, Yankee ingenuity would take over, and ITC would soon light up the world.

Macy reported that he first was contacted by WCBS TV news anchor/reporter Michele Marsh in May 1994 after Marsh had learned about him from a socially prominent mutual acquaintance, Juliet Hollister.

Ms. Marsh asked me to fill in any details that Juliet might have left out, and the more I talked about ITC, the more excited she seemed to become.  By the end of our conversation, she was determined to produce a serious, in-depth report on the miracles.

Macy planned for her to interview the Harsch-Fischbachs in Luxembourg at the annual ITC experimenters conference in September.  He commented about Juliet Hollister: "She wrote that she had been a strong supporter of George Meek's work . . ."  The support of Eleanor Roosevelt helped Hollister to become the founder of the Temple of Understanding organization in 1960.

Meanwhile, in Germany, physicist Ernst Senkowski and experimenter Adolf Homes were getting ready to be on a live TV show the following day.  The feature magazine program on SAT1 television network had set aside two blocks of time totaling thirty-three minutes, during which Homes would try to make a live contact with the dead before seven to eight million viewers.

The next day, the program started off badly.  The live ITC experiments were sandwiched in time slots between filmed reports on rape and other subjects that attract negative spiritual influences.

As the cameras zoomed in on Adolf Homes, he went through his typical routine of summoning his spirit colleagues in an otherwise silent studio.  The moderator, a vivacious young woman, apparently found the process rather odd and started to laugh.  She excused herself and struggled to maintain a serious demeanor, but a somewhat comical air had already been set for the ITC experiment, further damaging the contact field for the experiment.

No contacts were made, and most of the viewing audience probably felt a little bit let down.  The more skeptical viewers might even have shrugged Homes off as a nut, which was certainly not fair to the serious experimenter from Rivenich.  Nor was it a good sentiment to equate with the young field of ITC.  Such attitudes might disrupt the broader contact field that was developing among researchers in various countries.

The Luxembourg couple, Maggy and Jules Harsch-Fischbach, seemed appalled by the outcome.  Maggy claimed the researchers had damaged ITC badly by participating in a sensationalistic event such as that program.

Ernest Senkowski and Adolf Homes disagreed.  Ernst argued that it wasn't so bad, considering the general nature of TV anyway.  He felt the program probably made a lot of people think about the possibility of ITC, even though the on-air contact attempt had failed.

Macy wrote that within days Adolf Homes and Maggy Harsch-Fischbach both independently received messages from spirit colleagues in relation to the incident.  Konstantin Raudive's message to Maggy is quoted: "ITC can only work when the minds of those involved are resonant and ethically pure.  Public ITC experiments in a sensationalistic environment will not only fail, but can damage the contact field as well."  Macy reported that another 'spirit colleague,' 'Professor Bender,' said that no irreparable harm had been done with the incident and, in fact, many people's minds had been opened up in regard to ITC.

In June 1994 Macy gave two speeches about ITC in New York City.  The events had been arranged by Juliet Hollister, who publicized the events with a joint radio interview with Michele Marsh on a local radio show.  Prior to one of the lectures, Marsh taped an interview with Macy.  He recalled:

TV viewers throughout the larger New York metropolitan area were deprived of her presence on the 6 o'clock news that evening, as she sat through my talk.  She told me afterward, "I really enjoyed the presentation.  Fascinating!"

Juliet Hollister is a subject for the first chapter of Rosemary Ellen Guiley's book Angels of Mercy (1994).

According to Ms. Guiley's book, Juliet had experienced a miraculous and life-changing event one chilly autumn day in 1984.  It had happened like this:

On behalf of her Temple of Understanding, Juliet was making final preparations for a world conference which would be held at Saint John the Divine Cathedral in New York City, and would involve His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Assistant UN Secretary-General Robert Muller, and many other spiritual and secular leaders whom Juliet had befriended over the years.

Juliet was lying down for a rest before the event when a being of Light appeared in the room.  The being was aware that Juliet would deliver the closing speech at the conference, and he asked her to remind the thousands of people in the audience that angels are real, that they love us humans, and that they want to help us.  Before they can help us, however, we have to acknowledge their presence and invite them into our lives, said the being, who tanked Juliet on behalf of the angelic kingdom for her good service over the years, and who then identified himself as Archangel Michael.

Mark Macy chronicled that the Harsch-Fischbachs became pessimistic about campaigning to reach the mainstream public and in the summer of 1994 they put an end to his plan for media coverage of the annual meeting.

Maggy explained that a Luxembourg TV team lead by Rainer Holbe had visited the meeting in 1992, had taken some film footage, and had chatted with Maggy briefly in private, all handled very carefully so as not to intrude on the meeting.  A live contact occurred during that meeting.  The following year, however, a French TV team were allowed to cover the event, and they had no consideration for the meeting.  Maggy and Jules had been disturbed by the bright lights and cables to the point that no contact attempts had been possible.

Mark Macy contacted Michele Marsh and told her that the promised interview had become doubtful.

Ms. Marsh expressed disappointment, but she was already exploring other options.  She was aware that Ernst Senkowski had a large archive of videotape and documentation from most of the major experimenters in Europe.

Macy promised to help her get an interview with Ernst and Marsh asked for Macy to work exclusively with her for the time being as the news report was planned to air in the autumn.  Beyond the planned TV break, Macy continued to lecture at conferences about ITC.

Producers for a popular daytime TV show, "The Other Side," drew me aside after one of the workshops to ask if I'd be interested in sharing ITC information on their program.  I thought of my promise to Michele Marsh.  "As long as it's after October there shouldn't be any problem."

He agreed to appear along with Juliet Hollister on an episode of the hour-long daytime TV talkshow.  The show's producers convinced him that they would do a serious job of presenting the subject.

I sent the producers a short video sequence of inventor Bill O'Neal talking to the spirit of Dr. George Jeffries Mueller through the Spiricom device; the sequence of nineteenth-century chemist Henri Sainte Clair de Ville in his spirit body, turning his head slowly from left to right; and an audiocassette containing Konstantin Raudive's recent phone dialogs with George Meek and Sarah Estep.

Mark Macy uploaded the clip of "Henri" (Henri Sainte Clair de Ville) to You Tube in 2013.

Mark Macy's account continued:

Finally the day came.  I was eager to experience the final result; I had shared so much good, positive information with the producers of "The Other Side" that it would have to be a purely positive look at ITC.  Or so I thought.  After Juliet and I got seated on the stage before the live audience, the director gave the signal to begin, and a deep, intimidating voice boomed into the room, delivering a frightening message.  It was Konstantin Raudive!  The producers had dissected his dialog with Sarah Estep, and the portion they played to open the show said, simply, "I'm as fine as a 'dead' one can be."  The cameras panned the audience, and in the monitor I could see the facial expressions being transformed quickly from anticipation to trepidation, from "oh-boy!" to "uh-oh."

If anyone listening to the show had been afraid of death before that, their fears were now locked in a bit more tightly.  Just the effect I'd been hoping to avoid.  One main purpose of ITC was to remove the fear of death from humanity, not to stir it up!  Fortunately the show was live, and I had the opportunity to explain to the audience that the line had originally been intended as a humorous, warmhearted reply to Sarah Estep's greeting, "How are you, Dr. Raudive?"  That seemed to ease the tensions in the audience a little bit.

The rest of the program went well.  Juliet used her eloquent, flamboyant style with lavish arm gestures to describe the miraculous contact we had experienced in Luxembourg three months earlier.  The audience was captivated by the wise woman's words.  Film footage of Bill O'Neil talking through the Spiricom device to an invisible colleague ran on the monitor as I talked about the historical background of ITC.  Then the image of spirit friend Henri Sainte Clair de Ville turned his head was played as I discussed the miracles under way in Luxembourg.

Later I told the producer it had been an excellent show, except for the deceptive use of that opening line.

"Ah, well," he shrugged, "we had to make it a little 'sexy' to stir up the audience."

Michele Marsh's ITC report was postponed from October 1994 to February 1995, complicating Mark Macy's predicament once again.  He wrote about Michele Marsh's reaction upon learning about his November appearance on "The Other Side" —

. . . she called me on the phone and blasted me for the betrayal.  I had promised to help her be the first American TV person to air a program on ITC, and now I had appeared on another program.

When Maggy Harsch-Fischbach learned of my appearance on "The Other Side," she blasted me too.  She questioned my judgment for appearing on a "poor quality" program and said that if other researchers wanted to compromise their morals for a little glory, that was their business.  I should have known better.  Then she said my only role was to publish the results of their work in English and to present them before groups of people who already were spiritually aware.

Family members and close friends asked my why I was putting up with all this antagonism from various directions, and my answer was simple: The incredible contacts being received in Luxembourg, in my view, were unprecedented in human history.

Employed wisely, it [the miracle of ITC] could usher in a new era of peace and spiritual understanding to a very troubled world.  So I would do whatever I could to nurture its growth.  That meant not only supporting Maggy however I could, but also spreading her miracles far and wide in a positive light.  If that involved getting stuck in the middle once in a while between strong egos, self-centered motivations, and irrational demands (my own as well as other people's), then so be it.  After all, what is life on Earth, if not a perpetual dance between the light and dark elements of our inner natures?  The point of the dance is to learn the steps and keep moving toward the Light.

During a spring 1995 speaking tour, Macy participated in two live radio interviews on the same day that showed what a difference the mentality of a talk show host can make in expanding the consciousness of an audience.

There was one particularly grueling interview by a bantering personality on a morning talk show who squeezed in a few potshots about talking to dead people, and who seemed to enjoy my struggle to retain some dignity for a field of research that I obviously took seriously.  He made it clear that he didn't believe a spooky word I was saying.

I thought of the hundreds of men and women driving to work, listening to the humorous bantering of the radio personality mixed with serious dialog between my good friend, the late Konstantin Raudive, and me.

What were they thinking about ITC?  Was it just one more source of a morning chuckle, or had it stirred something deep within some listeners?  Would they search out more information about ITC, or would they quickly forget it and go about their mundane business?  I would never know.  Such was the nature of publicity through the mass media.  You could do your best to prepare the seeds of information you wanted to cast to the world, but you could only hope they would fall on fertile soil.

At the university radio station a few hours later, the young talk show host admitted that he had a deep interest in spirit communication.  The half-hour interview went so well that it was extended to an hour, and we discussed the research in some detail.  It was one of the better interviews I had enjoyed.

Paranormal Radio Contact Marcello Bacci ITC Documentary

This Televisione Svizzera Italiana Mysteries Channel "Documentario sulle esperienze metafoniche di Marcello Bacci" was uploaded as a no cost video to You Tube in early 2015 with an English subtitles version contributed by Shiva Rosa (Malta) in 2016.  The 50-minute documentary video provides a variety of testimonials and documentation of  Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC).  Watching the video I realized yet again how oblivious so many people throughout society are about 'paranormal phenomena' cases as they simply aren't aware that evidence (such as this documentary) is readily available.

Several reports about the work of Marcello Bacci may be read at the WorldITC website, including "The ITC Work of Marcello Bacci" by Paolo Presi — a transcript of a 2004 lecture.  This is how Presi's report begins:

My presentation is concerned with the exceptional Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC) experiences that have taken place in Grosseto, a little town in the centre of Italy, at the laboratory of Marcello Bacci.  Bacci can be considered a leading expert on ITC, given his 35 years of exceptional experimental activity.  The ITC voices that have been received during these 35 years in Grosseto have by now been heard all over the world.

Marcello Bacci’s first encounter with the paranormal goes back to 1949 when he occasionally participated in mediumistic sittings in London, and his life was indelibly marked by these experiences.  His relationship with research into the paranormal, which began at that time, developed in the following years into a deep and abiding interest, and early in the 1970s he became involved with the phenomenon of EVP [Electronic Voice Phenomena] when he learnt of Friedrich Juergenson’s experiences in Sweden.
a moment of the documentary

Marcello Bacci was born in 1927.  Something unusual about this case are the apports (materialized objects) that have continuously manifested in his presence over the years.  One scene of the documentary shows an example of this phenomena.  Roses are a recurring symbol throughout the annals of transcendental communication, as are statements about Oneness.

Lessons of 'The Seven'

Received via Instrumental Transcommunication — as shown at Macy Afterlife: The Beacon website, this ITC color photograph was received by computer in Luxembourg 1999.  The text found with the picture identified the message as being from 'Nsitden,' "one of The Seven."  Below is an ITC image received by computer during the summer of 1996.  'Lagelnev' of 'The Seven' is depicted.

'The Seven' are mentioned in Breakthroughs in Technical Spirit Communication (1989 / English translation 1997) by Dr. Theo Locher and Maggy Harsch-Fischbach.  ITC Communicator 'Swejen Salter' is quoted (as translated) during a telephone contact:

At the time of contact seven higher beings will be present in the hall.  One of them is in contact with the medium Mr. Zoennchen.  Another being is guiding the contacts of the Group Homes/Malkhoff in Rivenich . . . The Technician, too, is one of the seven entities.  They are depending on the harmonic cooperation of all humans.  Their main technical sources of help will be the Light.

Articles about the communication of 'The Seven' and other entities of 'the other side' may be read in issues of the Contact! newsletter 1996 through 1998 published by the American branch of the International Network for Instrumental Transcommunication (Mark Macy, Editor).  The materials include transcripts offering English translations of the contacts.  Some of the ITC letters offer perspectives of aspects of life involving and affirming 'quantum mechanics' physics concepts and theories.  In the third 1996 newsletter issue, the article "Our seven colleagues from the ethereal realms" was an early attempt to place the information sources in perspective —

Instrumental transcommunication as experienced by INIT researchers in late 1996 involves about two dozen researchers in eight countries.  While we work with a team of more than 1,000 spirit beings, our most prolific communicators are Dr. Swejen Salter (d. 1987) and Dr. Konstantin Raudive (d. 1974).

The entire ITC project of INIT receives a degree of supervision and guidance from seven "higher" spiritual beings.  This is according to information received through the Luxembourg receiving station of Maggy and Jules Harsch-Fischbach, as well as contacts at other INIT receiving stations.

According to the Harsch-Fischbach couple, who apparently were chosen by the seven beings to quietly start up the modern world's first full-scale ITC receiving station, the beings are trying to adjust to us on Earth so they can understand human fears and problems.  "In their dimension they do not carry a name," says Maggy, "but identify themselves by name when communicating with us to make contacts easier."

The Group of Seven have told us that their mission is not to foster the indiscriminate spread of ITC stations and ITC information around the world in the coming years.  Rather, it is to work with a group of people who are united by an ethical, moral approach to ITC and who will spread the information as wisely as they can in a careful, responsible fashion.

In 1996 the newsletter presented English translations of paranormal messages/letters from 'Thfirrin,' 'Ishkumar,' 'Lagelnev' and 'Technician.'  Here is a translation of Ishkumar's commentary about 'God':

God is not a person but the highest principle of life, as well as the absolute reality.

He or IT, is the absolute unity and the absolute, unlimited and all-encompassing Universe.  As a limitless entity, the universe can never be one of the creative individuals who are numerous in the cosmos.

Nor is it tenable that there is a single Son of God for the entire cosmos.  Jesus Christ, today a part of Pescator, has never described himself as such.

Since God, ultimately, is everything, and everything is God, it makes no difference which religion you belong to.  There is only one universal truth which can be found through the path of decency.  For those who follow eternal principles, the doors to freedom are open.

Another 1996 message received via computer in Luxembourg is addressed to "Children of Earth, people of Terra" (as translated) and begins with the following passage.

There are moments in your life when you think you are standing in front of a wall, an almost insurmountable obstacle.  An anxiety befalls you that can grow into regular oppression.  Most of this inner fear comes from yourself.  It is rare that it was caused by someone else.  Most of you do not need an outside attacker.  What you have done too much or what you neglected to do often is enough to upset you.

However, it is possible that your own anxiety and fear become so strong and are of such intensity that they literally take you over and thereby open up avenues for low spirits and their influence and damaging manipulations.  Therefore, if you are able at all, avoid fear and insecurity.  Do not doubt!

The final sentences of the message state —

We are greeting you and thank you.  Especially interested in accomplishing a harmonic unity of mind are the seven beings of Rainbow People—Technician, Ishkumar, Thfirrin, Seth 3, Nsitden, Mrekklin, and Lagelnev—helpers of INIT for the connection between Planet Earth and the higher vibrational planes.

The communicator 'Swejen Salter' provided some information about some of 'The Seven' on January 7, 1996:

Nsitden comes from another planetary system.  Mrekklin comes from a parallel world.  Lagelnev is a spirit of nature, not to be confused with one of the elementals, but formed by the faith of humans.  (Not necessarily the faith of today.)

The newsletter also reported in 1996 that an audio recording had been made of a message from The Seven.  An article explained that Maggy and Jules Harsch-Fischbach received the message from the Technician on their telephone answering machine a few days before the INIT meeting at Tarrytown, New York during the late summer that year: "Unlike other information from The Seven, this message arrived in English, since that would be the principal language of the meeting.  Maggie played the message to the group on Friday night."  The audio recording can now be heard online in a 2010 article by Mark Macy entitled "Humanity As Seen from Ethereal Eyes" (including a transcript).

The following is a link to the 1996 four-minute recording of the message from 'The Seven' with some additional introductory comments (first 1:11 minutes) by Mark Macy that can be understood to correlate ITC events with not only the end of the 20th Century but also the end of the Age of Pisces: Click here

Upon listening to the audio, I realized that the spiritual knowledge articulated by the voice is certainly representative of the sensibility of manifold communicators—and their statements—found in other recordings and transcripts of transcendental communication, encompassing 'channeling' cases and 'Direct Voice' (disembodied speech) cases with many examples provided in articles at this blog.  Links to Leslie Flint Direct Voice Phenomena recordings are provided in previous blog articles (including 1 and 2).  Among the recordings are also voices of people of the Other Side that yet exhibit an unadvanced spiritual understanding, such as 'Nellie Wright.'  To listen to an example of the voice of 'Helena Petrovna Blavatsky' from the 'First Leslie Flint Recordings' listen beginning at 4:00 of the earliest recording: Click here

The 1996 recorded message of 'The Seven' mentioned 'The Project' and Mark Macy selected these words as the title for his book offering an overview of what he'd learned during his many years of ITC research The Project (2009).  A 1997 message received via computer at Station Luxembourg specified that The Project started 20,000 years ago and that its final phase took place in Atlantis.

At the foundation of Mark Macy's work and metaphysical understanding are the perspectives and lessons received and recorded from numerous transcendental communicators.  Here is an English translation of a March 8, 1996 computer contact presented in the book —

We have often given you the real purpose of ITC contacts: Mankind at the end time should be led back to the principle.  Light and darkness shall unite and form a whole again.  What people experience now is not the actual beginning of the apocalypse, but only the first symptoms of it.  Before opposites can be united, the strength of unity among ITC people must increase and come from a pure heart.

The following is Mark Macy's introductory statement to one of the messages received in 1998 along with the accompanying transcript as provided in The Project.  This passage is also the subject of a Macy Afterlife: The Beacon article.

Ethereal truth.  In the summer of 1998 our INIT research group received a contact from The Seven Ethereal beings through a computer at our ITC receiving station in Luxembourg.  I publish below an English translation of the transcript in its entirety.  The original contact arrived in German.  It describes what unfolded on that final day of the First Epoch in an empire long ago, before its collapse into a dark age.

Alkbrat of Shanidar was the last one to enter the great temple hall.  He walked bent over and was slow of step.  His white hair and flowing beard gave him a patriarchal appearance.  He leaned his curved golden staff against the table and took his place at the head of the table.  The others in the room remained silent; they knew they had to wait until the venerable old man opened the assembly.  It was the last time that they would meet like this in the Sothis Temple, for the barbarians were already at the outer walls of the city.  Alkbrat raised both hands and began with a clear, firm voice, which, despite his age, sounded full and strong:

“Participants of this project, my brothers and sisters, the Golden Ages of our culture are at an end.  Our civilization has become so indifferent that the innumerable dead, who die of starvation and disease, have become a common sight for you.  They elicit no more than a sigh, or in the best case, a tinge of protest.  The streets of our cities have become the residence of legions of the homeless; drugs rule the world; men murder their brothers on a scale and with a bestiality that has not been seen since the (previous) dark ages.

“At the same time, thousands of lesser acts of violence and abominations have become so customary that they hardly seem real.  We have tried to avert the evil with our Project Sothis, but we have failed.  We have made the mistake of reaching an understanding with the pupils of Nephtos, because we believed that as the caste of scientists, they would help us convince the people that the Gateway, the Space-Time Arch, was the last hope for our sick world.  But we have erred.  They have measured, minced and counted, and again, measured, minced and counted, and could not recognize the true meaning of our search, because they could not recognize the truth that stood behind our endeavors: the inseparability of the spiritual from the material world—the opening of the door between these worlds.  So we lost precious time, and our adversaries used our weaknesses.  Some of us have fallen away and let themselves be lured by passing fame and Mammon; others were intimidated and have lost their belief in the righteousness of our good cause.

“We do not wish to bear them ill will, but rather pray that someday they will recognize their error.  But we must be conscious that pride, covetousness, and arrogance are guilty of bringing our Project to ruin.  Today we meet for the last time; tomorrow some of us will already no longer be among the living; others will be in flight.  We know that our bodies, which we now inhabit, are only houses from which we will soon be moving.  Where to and when we know not, but now we want to speak the last vow, and give our word, that at the given time, in another place, with another appearance, and under different names—some will be men and no longer women, and vice versa—we will no longer remember here and now, but when we meet again, we will know that we belong together.  This very night, a Spirit of the Rainbow appeared to me and assured me that they will guide us further and lead us when mankind approaches the next dark age.  This will be when voices speak from boxes and human beings move through light behind glass.  Here on this spot on the river after many millennia, a city will arise that will be called Babylon, and the Second Epoch will begin.”

Alkbrat arose.  The golden threads that were interwoven through his deep blue garment shimmered in the glow of the candles.  The others also arose and, extending their hands, they spoke the vow.

So it came to pass, and it is being communicated to you (INIT members), because you have found each other again, and this time have passed the first part of the test.  Continue to watch out for false friends and know that the journey is a long one.

The Seven, 1998 July 3

Not all Instrumental Transcommunication constitutes positive and uplifting occurrences.  Mark Macy reported about his own experience of finding himself in such a predicament in Chapter 6 of Miracles in the Storm (2001):

On the morning of April 5, 1996, seven months after the meeting at Dartington, I was eating breakfast when the phone rang.  I answered, and a bizarre voice said, "This is Konstantin Raudive."

The short message was repeated three times in three distinct voices, none of them being the deep, friendly, and familiar voice of our spirit colleague, Konstantin Raudive.  The first voice could best be described as mechanical, the second as spiteful, and the third as demonic.  Fortunately I captured the disturbing message on audiotape.

Mark Macy sought information from the Timestream communicators about the strange message and a reply was promptly received at Station Luxembourg and passed on to him:

It was of course not K.R. who phoned Mark, but a negative entity from here (on the mid-astral plane) known as ------.  We cannot do anything against this as long as people like Weisensale and Koeberle are not stopped on your side.  Unite your efforts and you will be strong.  Avoid contact with those on your side who do not know where they belong.

1996 April 5, 16:22

Mark Macy mentioned that there had been "Scathing commentaries on the Luxembourg couple published by Bill Weisensale and Fidelio Koeberle . . ."  Mark described what happened after this.

To help us deal with the problem, Jules Harsch in Luxembourg asked our spirit friends at Timestream to come up with a code word that would be known only to them and to INIT members.  The word would be stated by our spirit friends during voice contacts to assure us that we were talking to them, not to unknown spirits.  In response, Timestream came up with a rather strange and enchanting twelve-letter word of four or five syllables that was not easy to pronounce, nor could it be found in Webster’s Dictionary.  The word was "silmarillion."  (I feel safe sharing it now because it has not been used for a couple of years, and if a code word is needed in the future, a new one probably will be devised.)

I wondered if the plan would work.  I assumed that since spirits at Timestream knew the word, and since spirits could read one another’s minds, perhaps the word would spread quickly throughout the spirit worlds, so that all spirits—negative and positive—could contact us with this celestial password.

As months passed I was surprised and pleased to discover that I was wrong.

In Chapter 5, Mark Macy reported that at a meeting one of his colleagues reminded that the contacts were beyond the control of anyone on Earth.  He commented: "All of us in the room realized that the miracle of ITC was a puzzle . . . we on Earth held only a few puzzle pieces."

Mark Macy in Miracles in the Storm concluded about mankind's predicament at the turn of the century —

Humanity now stands at a crossroads.  Burgeoning technology is creating a global brain in the form of the Internet with its computer servers, cell phones, and satellites.  In the course of a lifetime our world is being transformed into a society in which cultural and nationalistic boundaries are being erased.  For the first time in the development of human life on Earth, we are creating the opportunity to find peace, prosperity, and oneness through open doors of communication around the world.

At the same time, we face serious threats.  The rain forest—the lungs of the Earth—continues to disappear; the nuclear arsenals of Russia and the United States still possess the power to destroy civilization in the course of an hour; addictions trap a large segment of humanity in dark patterns of thought and behavior; and millions of people starve every year as others enjoy unprecedented abundance and conspicuous consumption.  Drugs abound.  Violence and promiscuity abound, thanks to their rapid spread through movies, television, the Internet, and other mass media.  Many sources of information outside ITC research suggest that difficult times lie ahead if we don't change the living conditions and behavior within and among the societies of the world.

One of the messages from The Seven presented in The Project has an environmental theme:

Our INIT group received the following message from the Seven Ethereal beings through the computer of our Luxembourg members on April 3, 1996:

"In perceiving their environment, mammals, like humans, have the ability to evaluate their surroundings and behave accordingly.  Though they are humanity's fellow creatures and inhabit the same living space, humans behave as if the world is their environment alone and everything else is only for their use.

"This anthropocentric world picture is a totally false self evaluation.  Man is not the measure of all things as you often arrogantly assume.  Humans are one of a million species on the tree of life.  All the animals, plants and the elements of nature are part of the world around you.  By living as though the rest of the world is only for your benefit, you miss the purpose of your existence."

Other transcendental communication cases encompass environmental messages and warnings.  Personally, I find it horrifying that government leaders worldwide aren't doing more to work together for the preservation of our Earth habitat.  During the summer of 2017, this blog presented a series of five articles about 'The Council of Nine' (or 'The Nine') case involving trance medium Phyllis V. Schlemmer (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and case transcripts also include passages expressing the severity of humanity's environmental crisis.  (article)  One possible solution would be for a worldwide treaty that brings about military spending reductions to generate environmental preservation funding.  This way, trees can be planted, the Great Pacific garbage patch can be eradicated, and necessary solutions can be found for every environmental quandary.  We (all mankind) simply can't go on ignoring the challenges posed by such a conspicuous crisis of this magnitude.
