Hello from Heaven (from Miracles in the Storm) 1995-96

Mark Macy first learned about the phenomena that has become known as 'Instrumental Transcommunication' when he became acquainted with the man who would become his 'spiritual mentor.'  George Meek was an author who delivered the keynote address at a conference in Colorado.  The research data presented by George concerned life in the ascended realm of existence and impressed Mark as being "the kind of evidence that minds like mine were craving."  George eventually sent him a 90-minute cassette tape about "Spiricom."

The Spiricom tape contained the most incredible sounds I had ever heard in my life — two voices emanating out of a loud buzzing monotone.  One voice was fairly clear; it was the voice of Meek's colleague, Bill O'Neil.  The other voice was hard to understand, and no wonder!  It was the voice of a departed man named Doc Mueller, a former NASA engineer.  Somehow this "Spiricom" device was allowing O'Neil to converse with an invisible friend on a wide range of subjects.

George and Bill's Spiricom experiments had ended in 1982.  George had also been involved in 'Project Lifeline,' with him having employed psychic channels to get technical advice from the Other Side concerning the development of ITC transmitting and receiving devices and antennas.  George invited Mark to participate in a new research project and this resulted with him learning about other ITC researchers.  In 1995 the International Network for Instrumental Transcommunication (INIT) in England was founded by Mark with a dozen other researchers from eight countries.  He wrote in the Prologue of his 2001 Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC) case study Miracles in the Storm:

A miracle of profound possibilities was brought to Earth in the closing years of the twentieth century, as people in various countries began to  receive information through their televisions, telephone, radios, and computers from spirit colleagues.  With the support of ethereal beings, or angels, an international team of scientists and researchers came together to nurture the development of Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC), under and umbrella of love and morality.  Properly nurtured, the miracle could bring reassurance and understanding to our troubled world as we step into a new millennium.

Selected excerpts of the book are presented without charge at the World ITC website.  I've selected for this article some book transcript excerpts offering data about 'The Seven of the Rainbow People' — explained to be seven 'angels' or 'ethereal beings.'  There occasionally was noticed among the quoted material some perplexing wording that may be due to translation, such as the predicament of the communicators being "individual beings with individual natures" yet "fused together."  These transcripts resulted from ITC research by Maggy Harsch-Fischbach in Luxembourg.  Her work had started in 1985, following the publicized work of researcher Hans Otto Konig in Germany.  Mark wrote that in 1983 Hans had "successfully demonstrated his 'Ultrasound' device to an audience of millions during a live television show broadcast from Station RTL (Radio-Television Luxembourg).  Konig and his program's host, Rainer Holbe, stood wide-eyed as loud, clear voices were conveyed through the device — voices that technicians and engineers could not explain by any normal means."

. . . Maggy had received her first tiny voices on tape right away, and before long a rather strong, high-pitched voice became an integral part of the work.  It was a very precise voice, crisp and clear, and it announced the beginning and end of all the sessions.  At times it would surprise Maggie with words of wisdom that suggested vast knowledge on a wide array of subjects — math, science, relationships, religion, history, and even events that were supposed to have occurred many thousands of years before recorded history.  It soon became clear that he or she—the wise, incredibly knowledgeable being behind the voice—was not only allowing Maggy to make unprecedented progress in the development of her ITC receiving station, but was actually guiding and protecting that development.

Here are some excerpts from the communication recorded by Maggy Harsch-Fischbach.

It's easier for us to explain to you what we are not.  We are not human, nor animal, nor male, nor female, nor Light being, nor, of course, God.  There are seven of us . . .

Many beings such as we live together in small groups, or clusters, as we exist in subtle realms where such boundaries as skin and ego, which separate physical beings in your world, do not exist.  We are in ethereal realms of spacelessness and timelessness where beings who resonate with one another can join together in common existence, if they so choose.

Names are of no importance to us.  As they are important to you, you may call me Technician, as my role in this project is that of a technician to facilitate contact between worlds.  Our group you may call simply, The Seven.  We, the Seven, are assigned as a Gatekeeper between Heaven and Earth, between time and space.  For us it is only an assignment, while from your perspective we have accompanied your world for many thousands of years.

We have provided humanity with guidance and protection, and we have moved particularly close to the Earth during seven crucial periods of climactic growth, your current civilization being the seventh. We are here to assist you.

Some representative examples of communication from 'The Seven' are offered with the following excerpts from a section of Miracles in the Storm Chapter 5 "Hello From Heaven, 1995-96."  The quoted words of 'The Seven' are in italics and some of the author's commentary is provided.  Mark Macy explained: "Miracles began to pour into our group through the lives of the Harsch-Fischbach couple . . . We received a series of contacts from The Seven higher beings . . . which shed much light on our path.  Following are paraphrased excerpts from those contacts, with my explanations and comments."

Since God is everything, it doesn't matter which religion you follow.  The one and only universal truth is found along the path of decency.  Committing to eternal principles opens the door to freedom.

The Seven were telling us that kindness, empathy, and love in our dealings with other people are more important in the larger, spiritual picture than are our religious beliefs.

Your present level of science cannot measure or even identify the many dimensions beyond the physical.  Still, you place such trust in that limited area of human endeavor that many among you—even some who believe in the continuance of life beyond death—sometimes are skeptical of messages which you receive from these dimensions.  As you share the information you receive, they say you do so out of blind hope, wishful thinking, and fear.  Your task is not an easy one.

We were being warned that we would face enormous challenges in the coming years as we would spread the news of ITC to a well-grounded, skeptical public.

We have heard your concerns that the information we  give you is  not new to you.  While that may be true in some cases, we have already said that you should first spread more widely the information already received before new information can be given.

Many contacts deserved analysis and elaboration, but often we were given so much information that it was difficult to do anything more than just reproduce the contacts in the journal as they poured in.  Occasionally our spirit friends stopped sending new material to us, giving us time to consolidate what we'd already received, and to find ways to spread the word more widely.  Some of us let our fears and insecurities get the best of us, worrying that the slowdown was a sign that the contacts were drying up.  Others were driven to shun the media completely for fear of bad results.  An appropriate spread of ITC information would take time and patience.

We notice your frustration when a long "time" passes between contacts.  We remind ourselves often that, being of the Earth, your lives revolve around time.  As we have told you, constellations must be favorable to allow contacts, so there is only so much we can do.  Also, from our perspective it is sometimes better if the voices across the veil are silent.

The deep spiritual connections among INIT members are felt among some of you.  There is growing confidence in your path.  Many of our messages to you seem fragmented, but you are starting to detect an underlying goal and purpose in them.  This is the path we can walk together as you derive a deep sense of returning to your spiritual roots.  Or you might find your path with another group instead, or maybe not at all this time on Earth.  You are free to decide whether or not to walk this path alongside us.

The Seven made it clear on many occasions that they would never command us, but would sometimes give us suggestions and invitations, such as this one, to reveal choices that would be in the better interest of world ITC.  They also spoke of the importance of spiritual connection with each other while we live our lives on Earth.

Many of you look for technical proof of ITC's legitimacy. but most of the tests available in your present world are unsuitable.  We appreciate the phone taps you arrange with the telecommunication companies, but they provide only a partial picture of what is really happening during hone contacts from us.  The bottom line is honesty and sincerity on the part of ITC researchers.  Without honesty, there can be no legitimate ITC.

Some people, perhaps out of fear, were reluctant to accept any information coming through ITC without solid proof that it did indeed come from our spirit colleagues.  The higher beings told us that no testing methods available to us on Earth were able to take into account all the complex variable involved in a spirit contact.  Those variables were not even fully understood by humans.

Skeptics could certainly use this situation to their advantage, "disproving" something not because it is false but because science is ineffective.  In the larger picture, of course, it would be silly to discount everything.  The most important element to ensure validity in ITC research, as in all human endeavors, would be honesty. . . .

Some of you believe an eternal spark—a piece of God—resides within everyone, and through this flame all people on Earth could achieve oneness in their relationships and rapports.  This is not entirely true.  Being in a physical body in a physical world, you are subject to the shortcomings and daily struggles that your rugged life entails.  As you know, when you pick up a rock, you can sometimes find worms, bugs, and other things that are repulsive to you.  Likewise, when you find yourself under the weight of negative feelings such as fear, insecurity, doubt, and envy, repulsive things emerge in the form of hatred and compulsions toward vengeance and destruction.  Such negative forces in your world cannot easily be swept aside.  You can't make those around you see the "Light" simply by trying to appeal to that divine inner core.

Today in the spring of 2018, something that this blogger still rarely sees mentioned or discussed in the media—perhaps due to the unconventionality of the facts—is in relation to a widespread aspect of ITC that seems to be easily accessible for everyone.  Today anybody who closely listens to conversations presented on unedited radio broadcasts may be startled to realize the commonality of this aspect of EVP/ITC phenomena.  The most noticeable instances of this involves the word "NO" clearly heard concurrently within spoken sentences during interview conversations.  Unedited audio and video recordings on You Tube also present this evidence.

There must be many people who are aware of this phenomena yet say nothing about it.  Perhaps they are worried about potential incredulity.  I've heard recordings with this type of EVP dating from past decades; however, media listeners cannot be aware of this aspect of nature until finding out about its existence.  One must listen attentively, of course.  The You Tube recordings allow easy repeated listening whenever one notices an instance of ITC — one simply moves back the video progress bar seen at the bottom of the image.

Expanded Consciousness Is Possible for Everyone

This popular American classroom sign happens to be stating one of the obvious objectives concerning the gamut of occurrences of 'paranormal phenomena' manifesting an interacting omnipresent Spiritual Force.  The omnipresence of 'God' is a basic Christian tenet with the music video image below indicating one example.

Expanding one's spiritual awareness should always be a goal.  Accomplishing this, some people must overcome social conditioning and programming to consider the evidence for phenomenal manifestations documented over the course of decades and centuries.  This blog has offered information about numerous worthwhile nonfiction case study sources.  A part of the problem with creditable 'paranormal' case studies being overlooked are the commercial fear-based fiction and nonfiction books exploiting superstitious orientations to 'unexplained phenomena.'

The lesson that needs to be learned by some people is that sometimes the 'conventional wisdom' can be something ignorant.  I pity any would-be researcher of metaphysical aspects of life and 'unexplained phenomena' who happens to select an information source promulgating the disinformation expressing the closed mind of an undiscerning 'skeptic' or 'denialist.'  The diverse conditions involving news media reporting have been a topic of previous blog articles.  (including 1, 2, 3, 4)

Considering the preceding four articles offering transcripts of the group of transcendental communicators (or 'controls') chronicled in the Mark Probert/'The Inner Circle' case, there are many parallels with other cases of transcendental communication.  Some examples of mediums or channelers and their groups of communicators are presented in blog articles about Sharon Neill, John of God, Gordon Higginson, Kevin Ryerson, Ray Brown, Eileen Garrett and Marjorie Livingston.

It's ironic that I was a cinema major at USC and worked as a movie studio publicist because today I realize movies and television programs have little value in relation to spiritual and intellectual development.  I ended my movie publicist career at the time of my spiritual awakening that resulted with my becoming a metaphysical author.  This week I shared this point of view about entertainment when I spoke to some high school students who expressed having 'liked' the new "Avengers" superheroes movie.  As I puzzled over what exactly they 'liked' about the movie, it seemed to be that the moviegoing experience for them amounted to some semblance of an 'event' yet they didn't seem to have any inclination to place in perspective the fictitious nature of the entertainment.

Through reading data about people's anomalous experiences, one can intellectually have initiation with the result being expanded consciousness, which means greater metaphysical and spiritual understanding.  There are articles at this blog that relate to 'initiation' with quoted perspectives of transcendental communicators:

The word Christ is taken from the Greek "Christos" and means anointed, and in this case "The Anointed One," which by the way has nothing to do with one called "Jesus," of whom it is said he was both the son of God and God incarnated but is about one called "Iesous," the great Initiate, and many more like him who took their final initiation in the various secret Temples or Mystery Schools throughout the world. — Professor Alfred Luntz (through Mark Probert)

. . . all of man's experiences are to be classified as initiations into higher and to more complete states of awareness.  I cannot imagine anything greater to strive for than the finding of yourself.  Man has made many efforts to do this and is still doing it but the greater majority of ways and means and methods of so attaining are false paths and lead him to nothing. — Yada Di Shi'ite (through Mark Probert)

In creating man from the Likeness, or Being, of Himself, the Most Holy gave Himself to be crucified upon the cross of matter.  His Likeness, His Spirit, is within all Being, and is sacrificed, therefore, to the exigencies and pain of matter.  This is the idea underlying the whole policy of the plane of Earth as a degree of Initiation.  This idea has been overlooked, yet the world has never lacked the Symbol of its inception. — 'the Guides' (through Marjorie Livingston)

From your cottage 'lodger' you had learned the story of the Boy and his mother.  He, an advanced soul in a stage of initiation which is incomprehensible to you; she, a young soul, inexperienced and stumbling in its progress . . . She too must be awakened, my Friend; hers is a soul that loved beauty, yet loved it selfishly.  Love itself for others, or even from others, cannot, it seems, reach her.  Self, in its lowest, most limiting form, still imprisons her. — the 'Brother of Light' (through Helen Greaves)

To say that one is god begins the awakening and the learning.  And that is what I do.  And not that anything that I said is ever the truth.  There's nothing I ever said was the truth.  It only becomes the truth when we initiate you into what I said, into what you said.  And that the experience of that philosophy manifested in your life — that you experience in your importance, then it is a truth.  So the great work is taking this knowledge into a practicality of life because life is a gift and learning to live it at higher tempos of frequency, higher visions and concepts of thought, and to manifest it in the world to the startling reality of the unawakened around you who begin to wake up. — Ramtha (through JZ Knight)

An article about channeler Kevin Ryerson includes a link to the video "Exploring Ancient Egypt Adventure—Initiation with Sekmet".  As I've previously mentioned, the 'christed one' or 'initiate of spiritual wisdom' is needed to make a sacrifice of oneself (relinquishing the demands of the personal ego) to help expand the consciousness of others.

These days when I think of 'skeptics and denialists,' I understand the various motivations; however, there are many who are concealing the truth of what they have begun to learn.  The effect of such actions upon others is the saddest consequence.  Concerning anyone able to transcend the limitations of the denialist mindset, one can only urge him or her to reveal their expansion in knowledge while they are still alive on the Earth plane; thus they can be of help to others before making their own transition to the ascended realm.

Mediumship phenomena has been chronicled as encompassing such aspects as trance communication, 'Direct Voice phenomena' (disembodied voices), materialization, 'automatic writing' and 'precipitated portraits.'  This phenomena has evolved as human technology has progressed.  The invention of cameras and tape recorders resulted with 'psychic photography' (1, 2, 3) and 'Electronic Voice Phenomena' (1, 2, 3, etc.).  In more recent decades, the development of technology related to video and audio recorded media have resulted in showing an astonishing array of visual imagery signifying forms of transcendental communication, altogether given the term 'Instrumental Transcommunication' (1, 2) by researchers.

WorldITC.org image examples: above "Doc Mueller . . . in spirit"; below "Heinrich Boden (brother-in-law of Claus Schreiber)"

One definition of 'Instrumental Transcommunication' (ITC) offered at the WorldITC.org website is:

Instrumental Tanscommunication (ITC) means that the messages coming from beyond will be received and/or stored by use of technical means.

ITC is the use of tape recorder, TVs, radios, computers, telephones, and other technical devices with the intent to get meaningful information from beyond in such forms as voices, images, and text.

The annals of Instrumental Transcommunication include reports of the ascended realm group of communicators known as 'Zeitstrom' (English: 'Timestream') chronicled by European researchers.  In 1995 a book was published that reported about these events: Conversations Beyond the Light by Dr. Pat Kubis and Mark Macy.

The book describes ITC events and it is reported that transcendental contact from the ascended realm has included such famous people as Thomas Alva Edison, Marie Curie, Wernher von Braun and Albert Einstein.  Here are some excerpts from the book.

What most people consider heaven is located in the higher astral plane.  Mystics and psychics call it "the Summerland."

In the Summerland, people live as we do and they look much as they did in their younger years.  On this plane are the great colleges, design centers, beautiful landscapes with lovely plants and flowers, "paradise-like birds," animals such as cats and dogs, and animal species unknown on earth.  There are many colors here that do not exist on earth and at first astral travelers are dazzled by them.

A Timestream contact coming over the radio describes the present life as just a fraction of a moment.  He says, "The states of consciousness are very different here, but it is no reason to feel sad about it."  A friendly world waits for all of us on the mid-astral or higher planes.

But if the higher planes offer a chance for friendship, loving companionship, a chance to grow and change, the lower planes hold man in a deadly noose of desire and negative behavior patterns.  Dante's Inferno describes the various circles of hell: lust, greed, anger, hatred and malice.  Even though he was writing in the medieval time, he was not inaccurate.  If Hell is man's vices and addictions, human nature hasn't changed much.

The lower part of the astral plane, because of its "heavy" vibrations, is closest to the Earth.  When a person dies, he or she goes to that part of the astral plane which is in accord with his or her emotional desires.

You will go where you deserve to go.  Many people have heard these words from ministers and priests, but ITC confirms it.  The "dead" are now able to communicate via telephone, TV and computer to tell us exactly what the next world is like.  Your choice is important.  It determines the next phase of your eternal existence.

Macy, Breakthroughs in Technical Spirit Communication (1997) by Dr. Theo Locher and Maggy Harsch-Fischbach, and Bridge Between the Terrestrial and the Beyond (1989) by Hildegard Schaefer.

Expanding Your Consciousness with 'The Inner Circle'

Mark Probert (1907-1969) was the chosen medium (or 'channel') for a group of 16 'controls/communicators' who referred to themselves as being of 'The Inner Circle.'  As with many other prominent channelers such as Edgar Cayce and Jane Roberts, this case is extensively documented.  Nonetheless, it would seem that a multitude of contemporary people are completely unaware of these cases

The three transcripts of 'The Inner Circle' in this article are quoted in the entirety from the Second Printing of The Magic Bag (1953) — "A Manuscript Received Clairaudiently Through the Mediumship of Mark Probert" (Part One).  The Third Edition of The Magic Bag (1963) is more widely available today in reprint books yet doesn't include these three chapters: "Man and Eternal Silence" by Lao-Tse, "The Nature of Germs" by Michael Faraday, and "Man, Know Thyself!" by Thomas Carlyle.  These three transcripts provide examples of how word and analogy selections by 'channeled entities' express the unique personality and philosophy of each.

This is a photo of Mark Probert during a trance communication session.  He was affiliated with Meade Layne and his Borderland Sciences Research Association Prior to discovering his mediumship ability, Mark's jobs included five years of hotel work as a bellman in San Diego hotels.  Below, a portrait of Michael Faraday provides a physical representation of the personality known by this name during his Earth life 1791-1867.  The inclusion of his name with 'The Inner Circle' as one of the 16 'Teachers of Light' is an occurrence of 'The Michael Pattern', one of the patterns and prophecies linking famous cases of 'paranormal phenomena.'

The Inner Circle communicator 'Ramon Natalli' in the book is quoted referring to his realm of existence as being "our side of consciousness."  The publisher of the book is Borderland Sciences Research Associates with founder/psychic researcher Meade Layne commenting: "The seances have been attended, from time to time, by psychologists, hypnotists, medical men, and physicists and other workers in the sciences . . . the Controls specifically disclaim any pretense to omniscience ('You will get nothing but opinion on all the planes') . . ."  Nonetheless, there is noticeable consistency between The Inner Circle transcripts and basic metaphysical teachings in other channeling cases.

Meade Layne reported:

All sittings are conducted in full daylight or good artificial light, and without formalities or any kind of religious ceremony.  There may be three or four people present, or as many as a small apartment will accommodate — between twenty-five and thirty.  Sometimes, on special occasions when a hall has been available, the attendance has been more than a hundred.

Here is the list of the other identified 'controls' that manifested through Mark Probert:

Arakashi
Thomas Edison
Charles Lingford
Lo Sun Yat
Professor (Dr.) Alfred Luntz
Rama Kaoloha
Raymond Natalli
Dr. Sukuto Nikkioi
Irene Probert (after the end of her Earth life)

MAN AND ETERNAL SILENCE

LAO-TSE:

Out of the eternal silence man has come, and so shall he return.  So also shall all other things pertaining to physical existence.  Almost all of the ancient teachings of life have made meditation a predominant requisite for gaining true understanding of man's self and his place in the scheme of life.

In meditation one is taught to go into what is called the eternal silence.

When meditation is thoroughly learned, the disciple soon discovers that to meditate he need not hide out in the hills or forest or even close himself up in the quiet of a room, but can achieve just as good results in the busy marketplaces of large cities — for outward din has no doorway to inner silence.  One needs to but to reverse the outward flow of his conscious awareness to an inner conscious awareness and hold it there till he is given the answer to that which he seeks to know.  The silence is man's natural home.  It is the womb of his very existence, and the source of all knowledge.

The vibration called sound belongs principally in the physical world.  It is but one of the many methods used to attract the conscious awareness of one physical body by another and hold its attention in order to convey a message.  It is the beginning stage of the force known as hypnosis.  It diverts man from his mental world to his chemical world by strong appeal to his emotions.  It is indeed a great magical power that can be used for good or evil.  Its magical potentials can be seen by its use in almost all religious rites — both orthodox and occult.  Your present-day scientific men are rapidly discovering its inner mystical nature and are using these secrets to cure brain disorders as well as the belief in physical illnesses of the body.  Sound can be heard on any of the planes of consciousness.  There is, however, a decided difference both in its nature and the manner in which it is heard.

Let us see if we cannot give a clear example of this thought: In the physical world one need not have his consciousness on the place from which a sound comes in order to hear that sound.  Indeed, it seems that as long as the consciousness is aware of the physical world, it is never aware of sound about to happen, but only after.  This is not the case on any other plane outside of the physical.

Starting from the world of ordinary sleep, the individual will find that he must be first aware of the cause of sound in order to get the effect of hearing it.  Too, in sleep state the sound must originate outside of himself and penetrate his dream world.  This will cause him to create a whole series of pictures in which he not only hears the sound but originates a source from which it is supposed to come.  But whether or not the sound originates in the outer world, the fact still remains that the cause of the sound must be first known before heard; because the individual separated from or unconscious of his physical body and world originates both cause and effect.  This seems to be a precognition of not only the event, but the cause of the event.  It appears also that there is a long chain of reasons coming before or leading up to the cause.  The chain of reasoning breaks only when the effect has been made or the message received.

Your scientific men have often made a conjecture as to whether there was more than one kind of time, and if two kinds of time could not be working simultaneously.  Let me assure them that their speculations are even more than true — for there are not only one or two modes of time, but endless modes of time — and they can and often do work at one time and the same instant.  For instance: a man asleep and a man awake are existing at one and the same time, but their conscious awarenesses are working in two different modes of time.  Then, there is the man who has passed out of the body in what you call "death," and the man who is consciously projecting himself from his physical body.  Here you will find four different modes of time, and all working together — separated only by the conscious awareness of each individual.

Need I say more?  Is this situation not clear to you?  If it is not, I can only say your time of awakening is not yet.  But let this not dismay you, but go on with earnestness of purpose, and hold ever foremost the desire to expand your consciousness, and the God of Wisdom will ever be with you.

THE NATURE OF GERMS

MICHAEL FARADAY:

As all things in and of the physical world are made up of an endless variety of chemical compositions, one kind of substance differing from another only by its pattern of atomic arrangement and rate of motion of the particles within that pattern field, is it not possible that the so-called germ, or germs that beset all life that enters into and animates this chemical world are simply another chemical with an X-field of motion?  That the life-force itself is an X-field of motion moving into an assumed know field of motion the chemical constituents of a body, human or otherwise — the life-force acting as an irritant upon the chemical world?

Germs, when formed in the body, act in much the same manner as the life-force, building up or destroying by irritation.  The characteristic action of an irritant is of two kinds — namely, excitative and depressive.  One tends toward construction, and the other to destruction.  These two forces generally work in rhythmic harmony, but they are subject to change, due to the variable moods of the life-force.  These moods, which are changes in motion of the life-force, produce lines of motion in the glands that manufacture the chemicals that nourish the body, and if these lines of force are not in harmony with the chemical that is being made, it will act as either a depressive or an over-stimulant.

As a depressive, it will slow down the normal action of the particular gland, reducing its output and weakening the quality, so that when it starts on its journey through the bloodstream, it is easy prey for attacking germs that crowd in on it and gorge themselves on the little nourishment they find in it, and then destroy the cell by mass breeding.  If this continues, the bloodstream becomes so polluted that the lymphatic system, whose job it is to change these poisons into harmless chemicals, breaks down; and this, of course, gives free rein to the deadly germs.

Over-stimulation, on the other hand, causes an excessive manufacturing and output of one type of chemical.  The adrenal gland is far more subject to over-stimulation than any other gland in the body, and its abnormal over-action is brought on by long periods of worry and anxiety.  This can cause many serious mutations of the chemicals of the body.  Some of these changes cause high blood pressure which will, if allowed to continue, eventually cause a paralytic stroke, or will form lesions in the main heart valves, thereby causing the heart to work twice as hard to get its needed rhythmic flow of blood.  It is also the cause of diabetes, arthritis, neuritis, neuralgia, and several kinds of skin rash.

The real and lasting treatment for most diseases of the body as well as the mind will some day come through the learned efforts of psychiatry, and not medicine alone, as has been the case in the past and still is to a large extent.  However, the above-mentioned ailments of the body are definitely to be classified as mental, brought about by what I have called "moods" of the life-force that is animating a particular body.

The life-force is so wedded to the chemical body it happens to enter into that its hypnotic spell of attraction causes it to believe that it is the body.  A similar misconception no doubt would arise between an electric impulse passing along a wire and the wire itself if the impulse were capable of an individualized state of conscious awareness.  Its sense of awareness would be so held by the field of attraction of the wire that it would believe itself to be the wire, and like man, it would go even farther in its trend of hypnotic thought: it would consider itself to be a certain kind of wire — a fat wire, a thin wire, a long or a short wire, a copper, steel or zinc wire.  And the more things attached to it, the more it would seek to individualize itself and set itself apart from all other things as something distinctly different.

No doubt, too, it would suffer with an inferiority or a superiority complex, which would lead to a myriad other complexes, and perhaps after a number of years it would suddenly take note of the fact that its physical body was going through the change called wear.  Then, perhaps, it would begin to wonder what was going to happen after its body wore out, and this thought would bring on the fear of the unknown.

Man is in reality a beautiful light-wave caught in the dark chasm of a chemical body!

"MAN, KNOW THYSELF!"

THOMAS CARLYLE:

If man is to know himself he will first have to stop thinking of himself as a physical body.

The eternal question that besets the thinker of today is the same as it was in the beginning  — namely, who am I?  And where from?  And where going?  There can be no doubt that these are questions of the utmost importance to man, and you have a pressing need in your present era for a better understanding of these questions.  Much greater is your need than at any time in the physical history of man.  Why?  Simply because man's next point in his evolution is that of brain and mind — or what is not to aptly termed spirit.

Of the three questions, who, from and where, I do not feel that the first is of the greatest importance by any means, nor indeed can it be answered by material words; and were I pressed to give an answer, I could give only that which has been given before — that you are the eternal One.

To place a tag or name on the eternal One would be to make it temporal and mortal.  To attempt to know It by known standards of the physical world would be to know only Its action in the physical-chemical world.  Nor shall we do any better with this question on any other plane of consciousness.  All we shall ever know is action, but never what or who the Mover is.

I have heard these questions argued by many who call themselves intellectuals, and some end the debate with this kind of answer: "We are nothing, we come from nothing, and we are headed for nothing."  But this is merely mortal reasoning; though even as such, it is without logic.  For, if matter is indestructible, think how much more so must be That which moves matter.  Let us suppose one could receive the final answer to this question — the consequence would be the complete cessation of that one's conscious existence on any plane, for it would automatically bestow upon the receiver all knowledge, and there would be no further reason for having a consciousness.

It is said that when one receives illumination, he suddenly realizes the oneness of himself with the universe.  He comprehends life as a unit, and himself as that unit.

But how is one to attain such an all-embracing state of awareness?  Surely not through any known method of either concrete or abstract reasoning.  In reasoning, the mind goes through a process of correlating the known facts and theories of a given subject and making comparisons of one with the other; and the answers arrived at will depend largely upon the reasoner's ability to place all the facts and theories in proper sequence so that they match like links in a chain.  However, no amount of reasoning — or what is termed logical thinking — will bring one illumination.  In fact, this wondrous state of awareness comes upon one long after reason and logic have proven themselves useless tools in seeking Self-Realization.

In the quest of the "overself," we are not seeking the ultimate, but rather the effort of the quest is to bring our physical into a wakeful state of awareness with our spirit self, or the high consciousness, so that we will find a more complete state of balance in our living.

There is nothing in the least mysterious about this desire to know yourself and your Self.  In fact, it is a great psychological necessity.  The rituals used to accomplish the desired ends may and often do seem strange and perhaps even silly to a beginner, or to those who know nothing about such things.  I have nothing to say to those who are not ready to learn these things.  But to those who are, or feel yourselves to be, let me state that rituals are a most helpful performance in your spiritual growth.  It is part of the act in your ever-becoming.  It conditions every cell of the physical body towards acceptance of the Spirit, and the Spirit towards more wakeful awareness of its physical vehicle, so that the two can work in more conscious harmony with one another.  The mind will look after and take care of the physical body if it is directed to do so; but the business of commanding the mind must be made a ritual; otherwise, little or no effect will be felt or seen.  Illness of the body comes about through an individual's failure to consciously keep alert the self to the needs of the body.

The most honorable Emile Coue was trying to teach one method of this conscious awakening of the self when he taught "Day by day, and in every way, I am getting better and better."  Nothing, however, will be gained and by merely mouthing or parroting these words.  The words "better and better" must be spoken so that they are felt by the body.  This is what is aptly called "thrilling the body."

In psychology this usage of the mind on the body is termed "autosuggestion" or self-hypnosis, and of course it is just that.  Not knowing anything about hypnosis and its potent action on the body, the layman, when he hears of self-suggestion laughs off its use by saying, "That's just kidding yourself you are well when you are sick."  I will agree with such a statement. made out of pure ignorance, to this extent: you are but kidding yourself if you do not use it right.  In fact, all life will become but a joke if you fail to approach it in wisdom and a will to understand.  And the sad part of it all is that the laugh will be on no one but you.

Self-Realization in the Aquarian Age - 'The Inner Circle' Through Mark Probert Q&A 1955

After two cover story articles in Mystic Magazine, a third question and answer transcript of 'The Inner Circle' (through the entranced Mark Probert) was presented in the June 1955 issue #10 yet there was only a small cover blurb stating "Another Mark Probert Seance."  The cover of this issue featured 'psychometrist' Dorothy Spence Lauer, who offered psychic readings based upon layouts of playing cards.

'The Inner Circle' transcript in issue #10 is reproduced in the entirety in this blog article.  The communication during this session was imparted through the perspective of 'Professor Alfred Luntz' — one of the group of 16 identified 'teachers of light.'  The topics include morality, self-realization, the Aquarian Age, and reincarnation.  First, some background information is provided about the series of articles concerning Mark Probert and The Inner Circle in the magazine.

Several letters from magazine readers about Mark Probert's trance mediumship were also featured in the issue and editor Ray Palmer's response to one of the letters is revealing about his lack of personal discrimination concerning the case.  Previous articles at this blog report the easily verifiable circumstances and facts of this case.  (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)  In Mystic Magazine issue #6, two of the published letters from readers had expressed intense interest in 'The Inner Circle' following the beginning of the series of articles in the preceding issue.  In issue #10, a California reader commented in a follow-up letter to the editor : ". . . you have already accepted the survivor hypothesis and are now speaking as a special pleader, not as an investigator.  I have pointed out previously that it seems likely that he is a product of the medium's subconscious."

Ray Palmer's response included the statements: "You say Luntz is Probert's subconscious.  What if I said I don't believe it is either Luntz or Probert's subconscious?  Would you then assume that I am saying Probert is just plain faking?  Maybe he IS.  But how can we find out anything, if we all up and decide, one way or another.  Maybe it's something different from all three postulates! . . . Because we publish Probert, it doesn't mean we WANT you to accept him, or are pleasing his case.  Quite the reverse, we put him where everybody can look at him, and form their own opinion.  There is precious little of this service of  presentation for the common man, and we think that is our purpose, and no other!"  Perhaps a more insightful perspective of Mark Probert and 'The Inner Circle' would have aroused greater interest and excitement in the case.  It seems both pathetic and ironic how earlier in his career Ray Palmer found commercial success with authors such as Richard S. Shaver whose perspectives of their selected topics were based upon speculation.

Following the publication of the third transcript of The Inner Circle, the August 1955 issue featured a brief article adapted from commentary of the Inner Circle's 'Professor Alfred Luntz' on the subject of hypnotherapy.  Beyond the readership of Mystic Magazine in the few issues, the lack of mainstream news media attention given the transcendental communication of The Inner Circle is something to wonder about, as with many of the other extensively documented cases that are topics for reports at this blog.  Something for the reader to keep in mind is that in the Christian tradition, biblical history is the result of oral traditions being later documented in writing (previous article) by 'presbyters' — public orators that today are known as the 'founding church fathers.'  As indicated by the issue #10 transcript (as follows) close consideration must be afforded to the term 'Christ' among Christians seeking to better understand what for most is an inherited tradition.

The response to a question about the Aquarian Age may remind the reader—as do many transcripts among the annals of transcendental communication—that seemingly contradictory statements about a subject can both be correct due to the specific point being made at a particular time.

QUESTION: Professor Luntz, Mr. Russell Fox of La Plata, Missouri, wants to know: Is it wrong to kill animals, birds or insects, and is it right to pick flowers or is it cruel?

PROF. LUNTZ: No act contains within itself qualities called wrong and right — that which man has come to think of as wrong or right, good or evil, come under the heading of moral and ethical codes and are created by man in order that he may have a more harmonious existence in his earthly environment.  However, because you live in a world of CAUSE and EFFECT you cannot escape the reaction to your action.  The life force is constantly manifesting itself in various forms and shapes and these are created to conform to the environment so that they will have a greater chance of survival.  As the whole nature of the physical world is that of construction and destruction it matters little in the eyes of nature whether you as a human being act as the destructive force of the body of animal, fish, fowl, insect, or human being, or whether it is some violent upheaval of the elements.  Every time one breathes he is both killing and bringing into material birth millions of "animals" in what is called the microscopic and "sub"-microscopic worlds.  Too, as man is no less an animal as far as his form takes him, he must like all other living forms eat things that contain the greatest life potency in them if he himself is to live a longer and healthier life.  One of the main causes back of all physical diseases that man suffers is due to the dead foods he puts in his body.  (Dead, meaning without nutritional value.)  I am quite aware that one of the Ten Commandments is "Thou shall not kill" but I am equally aware of the law as stated by one called Moses: "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth"; and I find that the greater number of human beings lend themselves to the latter more often than to the former.  If this is not so, then I beg the people of this enlightened age to tell me on what ground is it still condoning capital punishment and the mass murder of war?  I suggest that man stop his nonsensical talk of the wrongness and rightness of his acts, for he knows full well that when the time comes, he WILL do whatever he is urged inwardly or outwardly to do, and it depends entirely upon the strength of these urges as to how far he will go and not upon any moral or ethical qualms he may have acquired.  Some, of course, hesitate long enough to find justification for what they are about to do, but this is only to salve their conscience should the reactions prove not in their favor.  To do what thou wilt is the whole of the law and if you do it with LOVE you can do nothing that will be out of harmony with yourself and the universe.

QUESTION: Speaking of spirit controls: Are we right in assuming that although some are reliable, there are those who seek their own glory and still others, though they mean well, are unreliable?

ANSWER: Your assumptions are perfectly right.  The mere act of dying changes man not one whit, and to make matters worse, if a discarnate being has to use the body of one still living in the physical world, in its efforts to communicate, it is in grave danger of having some of that one's personality traits rubbing off on it and if such traits are not of a harmonious and well balanced kind it will find itself in a discordant mess no matter how well intended and reliable it may be in itself.

QUESTION: Is it true that man may by prelonging his life in the physical world retard his progress?

ANSWER: No.  (The questioner will please note that I had to add the four words "in the physical world" — the question has no meaning without those extra words.)  (Prof. Luntz)  In the first place Life is one unbroken stream, so the acts of birth and death do not damn the stream — it simply changes its course temporarily.  It is however much more difficult consciously to absorb knowledge and retain it, in the astral world, than it is in the physical; that is why it is taught that the physical world is the place where one must learn to wake up and live CONSCIOUSLY!  The process is called growth and growth means the ever becoming aware of your own BEING.

QUESTION: Do animals have souls?

ANSWER: The word "soul" is not a very good word because it has no comprehensive meaning back of it.  Its connotation is too abstract to deal with in any conclusive manner.  The whole vast universe is a living one!  All things, from a single electron to the most gigantic star, containing but different degrees of "pulsations" of what is called the "Life" force.  This difference is not in quantity but in quality.  However this may be, there are some things that come under the classification of mechanical automatons.  Then there are things that have what is called consciousness but have no self awareness and there are yet other things that are both conscious and consciously aware of their own independent existence apart from other things.  Man as a whole comes under the latter classification — this kind of personal awareness now enables him to stand off from life as it were and study it with circumspection.  As analytic as one may become however about the external world, and as great the drive to rearrange the existing pattern more to his liking, unless he himself has mentally and emotionally risen above the seeming state of chaos, his best efforts will come to naught and it will be proof that he has not yet acquired that one and most important of all steps on the ladder of life.  This step is called "Self-Realization."  Until one has attained this profound state of awareness they are of this world — wherein the "dreamer" believes He is the dream.  Yes, Mr. Fox, all things have a soul, whatever one may construe that word to mean, but the soul they have is YOURS.  Every state wherein the individual finds his "reality," the concreteness and duration of that reality is entirely due to his senses and how deeply he has centered his awareness on it, and the more emotional attachment he places on his dream the more he is likely to forget that he is THE dreamer and therefore finds it increasingly difficult to wake up.  There is a great deal of loose talk about "Free Will" but no man possesses more than an emotionally governed choice in his need to act until he has mastered himself emotionally and stands free from action and reaction.  (There is much more to be said on this subject but as you know space is limited.)

QUESTION: If the Soul is not Christ, then what is it on being baptized with the Holy Spirit?

ANSWER: (This is a combination of questions and I'm going to try to answer them in the order they were given.)  (Prof. Luntz) . . . The Christ or Christos, or in Latin, Christus, also means crystal clear.  In Greek the one completing his final initiation is called "Epoptai" meaning one with super sight—Super sight in regard to Life and the nature of Life.  Such a one has at least come to see through the great veil of maya or illusion that covers the eyes of humankind as a whole.  Now my friends it is doubtful that all of you will understand the meaning of the above but don't permit yourself to be either angry about it, or at all excited — remember even the "blind" are walking The Path, so be of good cheer for The Light of Love walks with you, though you may not yet perceive "It."

QUESTION 2: Baptism and its nature.  Baptism does not mean only to sprinkle but to dip.  In Greek "Baptizo" — and it is a symbolic act in the rituals of the Mystery Schools.  In the orthodox churches of today it has little meaning and less value.  The meaning back of it is self-purification and the act is to impress the consciousness of one who is just starting CONSCIOUSLY to see the Light to make a daily effort toward clean living and thinking.  By clean living and thinking I do not mean being what is commonly called good or thinking self-righteous thoughts with the hope of some future reward or fear of punishment but simply because one sees the wisdom in so acting and thinking.  It is the Path that takes one more readily to the awareness of their own divine nature.  The "water" that is supposedly used in the mystical rituals is not the oxygen hydrogen you drink nor the H20 of the chemist, but is the subtle cosmic forces centered in one's own body, known in Sanskrit as Kundalini-Sakti; in plain English it is the sex fluids of the body, which when raised and consciously directed to move through various centers of the body in the form of energy, can help one to do many things that they could not do otherwise and if brought up to the brain centers can give one what is called clear-vision.  Now permit me to add a word of warning here.  To play with this force in ignorance is highly dangerous, inasmuch as it can mean stark insanity and death.  As I have said, water is but the symbol of this cosmic fluid and the lay reader will please take note that in the so-called baptizing act of the churches, whether performed by sprinkling or dipping the entire body, the head of the person being baptized is the important part of the body for the sprinkler or dipper to touch with water — the idea back of this is that the head is the symbol for Heaven — so now when the "water" (Cosmic Forces) reach the "Heaven" one attains what is known as "Heavenly Bliss" or Cosmic Consciousness or Samadhi or again in English the state of Divine At-One-Ment of the Lower-self with the Higher-self or with what the churchgoer would call "Man With God."

QUESTION 3.  Would an Inner Circle on Earth be worthwhile?

ANSWER: The worthwhileness of things that men do, whether in groups or singly, in or out of the physical body, depends upon their thoughts and the sincerity of such thoughts, which is all I can say to that question.

QUESTION 4: What will the Aquarian Age be like?

ANSWER: Like any other age, it will be what it should be — by that I simply mean that the existing conditions in all ages are entirely dependent upon those living in such ages.  The Aquarian Age will, like all other ages of the past, contain those who will earnestly seek the betterment of both themselves and their fellow men and those that will strive just as earnestly toward the destruction of others and in the end themselves as well, and there will be yet others who will be neither destructive nor constructive — indeed they will do nothing but sit — the only sign of activity they will show will be in their waiting for someone else to tell them when or how they should think.  These latter persons remind one of the parable of the servant who was given one Talent and because of lack of faith to himself he went out and buried it — such people are a greater danger to a social system than those actively engaged in destruction, inasmuch as the latter save the world from stagnation through lack of motion.  I think that most of you will concede me the fact that the destroyers keep the constructors from going to sleep on the job.  As an example, one may observe the tremendous action going on between Communism and the Democracies!  I may add here that as long as the constructors in your country keep an active finger of irritation on all foreign political and religious elements of destruction it will remain free to grow.  Now to go back to the word Aquarian — it is the name for a zodiacal division which covers about 2,160 years.  I am not particularly versed in the fields of Astrology wherein it is said that the movement of the stars and other heavenly bodies influence the actions of men — I am however very cognizant of the fact that as long as man "sleeps" he lacks volition to act on his own, so Nature moves him about like a puppet on the strings of her very subtle forces.  As the individual comes out of his hypnotic sleep he becomes free of these strings and his actions are no longer dependent upon the action of the stars, the will of gods or devils,  or the dictations of discarnate or incarnate beings, no matter how well intended they all may be.

QUESTION 5.  The Holy Bible is being fulfilled.

ANSWER: It is hard to know what the questioner is driving at in the above statement for it was not put in the form of a question.  I suppose he means the "prophecies" of the Christian Bible.  If my supposition is true,  then I'll answer like this: All things being equal, all things that are said about all other things will in time come to pass.  The mere fact that certain statements are made in a Holy Book, Christian or otherwise, does not necessarily make it more valid than it would be coming from any other source.  One of the strange things about all prophecies seems to be the prophet's or seer's penchant for the gloomy and generally disastrous side of things, and more, he or she as the case may be, hardly ever accepts that which he predicts as coming directly from HIMSELF, acquired by his OWN sensitive faculties — it is most always that some god, devil or spook, master, or in your times a Saucerian, who told him — Wake up man, come out of your self-induced trance!  Now my dear friends this last question of  Mr. Howard Gallagher's is of  such a nature I must confess I don't really know how to answer it.  It is a question that many well-meaning people ask — I myself asked it many times when I was in the business of saving souls while on earth.  The question is this: "Are you ready to meet your God?"  We of the Inner Circle have no objections to what anyone believes or disbelieves, but we are greatly interested in why and how they have come to so believe.  We also hold to the self-obvious fact that he who rises in anger to defend his belief does so because he himself feels insecure in it.  Man is an exceedingly credulous being and all too often he falls into the very erroneous idea that the emotional acceptance of a condition is the condition "per se."  Along with this he suffers a profound state of apathy in self-seeking.  When asked how he arrived at what he calls his beliefs his most often expressed answers are 1. "My parents told me."  2. "My priest or clergyman said so."  3. "Professor So-and-so informed me."  And last but certainly not least, "Some one of the numerous Holy Books says so."  Happily for the rest of the world there are some who upon reaching their majority forget most of what their parents have taught and see through "heavenly" authority of the clergy in general and dare all the professors in the world to try and stop them from finding out by personal experience and trial and error.  As for the holy Books, they as a rule leave them to the holy.  These people are the THINKERS and DOERS of the world

Now for the sake of those who will be inclined to misinterpret what I have said I must attempt to clarify my statements a little.  I am not crying out against parental authority for the child, as long as one is a child, but against parents who continue to hold their children in bondage to them by refusing to teach them how to think and act on their own, so that when they reach adulthood they will be men and women mentally as well as physically.  Nor do I object to any one of the other alleged authoritative sources mentioned here, but I most certainly deny them the right to the claim of infallibility or that any one of them are THE only source of what is called truth — "Am I ready to meet my God?" — Can you not hear how those worlds are uttered my friends?  Listen to the tone of fear and trembling that you have been advised to crawl to your Maker on!  Yes, Mr. Gallagher, I am not only ready to meet what is called my God, I HAVE met Him and with the greatest joy I discovered we are ONE!

Irene Probert: Mr. John B. Pell of Syosset, New York sent in this question.

QUESTION: How can a man achieve self-mastery?  Must this come about as a result of the experiences of ordinary life or do there exist schools for this purpose?

ANSWER: (Professor Luntz)  There are a number of what is called Mystical Orders in America whose purpose it is to teach the real nature of life and one's own being.  This may seem very strange, I mean, that schools had to be formed to teach man about something that is very natural to him.  But because the human race got caught up in the hypnotic glitter of the material world man lost the awareness of his own divine nature now he suffers a prolonged state of amnesia.  Fortunately for us however, back in the very remote past certain high beings, seeing the plight we were in, descended from the higher vibratory world and gathered together the most advanced thinkers of the earth and gave them explicit instructions on the nature of the matter world and the keys that would unlock the door that held us imprisoned therein.  This group were then given the title "The White Brotherhood," which simply means the "Brotherhood of Light."  "Light" meaning Wisdom, in regard to life and one's own being.  Out of this first mystical school came Masonry and the Order Of The Rosy Cross and many others.  Unfortunately, however,  few of these schools contain members who can be called or even though of as true initiates — the word "Initiate" means CONSCIOUS seeker after the Light, and as I have said, unfortunate as it may be, only a small fraction of the men and women that claim to belong to these Orders have any idea of what it is all about.  The true Initiates can do nothing for these drones in the hive, for they are keenly aware of the law that forbids one from forcing his Light upon another — we must come to the Light of our own volition.  The only force that can legitimately move us in the direction of the Light is that of sincere desire to learn, and no one can have such a desire unless he feels that there IS something to learn.  Now Mr. Pell, judging from my own experiences in my quest of the Light I would say that the first requisite to the sincere study of life is emotional control.  I think you will agree with me when I say there is a great deal of difference between the word CONTROL and that of FRUSTRATION.

Consciously applied control rids one of his or her frustrations.  I would like to suggest that before you try doing any mental work upon yourself that you endeavor to get in touch with a certified psychologist and have him help you to understand your emotional nature.  Then you will know how intelligently to do work upon yourself.  Factually, there are but a very small minority of humans who actually know anything about themselves, to say nothing of their ignorance of the world around them.  Most of your great men and women of material science openly confess that they do not know the nature of matter "per se" and because these highly integrated personalities so confess, the orthodox religionists, most of whom have seldom taken the trouble to glance into even a primer on physical science, nod their heads sagely and chorus, "God only knows!"  Well, apparently He won't tell, so it becomes man's lot to find out, and find out he will, in the course of what is called time!  Indeed it is the very essence of his work here for it is only when he does find out that he shall be able to get out of this world ALIVE!  By alive I mean CONSCIOUS.  To simply die means one has gotten out of the world by the same door of unconsciousness as he came in and will therefore keep right on running in and out of said door until he learns to live consciously.  In the Christian Bible there is a statement that goes like this: "Go not to the dead for the dead know nothing."  This profound and yet simple statement is in no wise referring to discarnate beings or what are stupidly called ghosts.  The word dead in this particular statement means "ignorant," without truth.  Of course there are many millions of people in the astral world who were "dead" before they came here and are still dead when they get here and will remain that way until they get the inner urge to wake up — these can be legitimately termed "spooks," "ghosts," and astral shells."  May the Light attend you in your seeking, Mr. Pell.

QUESTION: If reincarnation is true, where do we go and what are we doing during the periods between earth lives?

ANSWER: (Prof. Luntz)  This is a very provocative question and relatively little has been done with it from either side of the veil.  I have been a silent and unseen spectator at numerous seances since I popped over here late in the year of 1893 and judging from observations made at these gatherings I would say that some of the reasons for this lack of knowledge of existing conditions in the so-called "after-life" is due in part to the usage of words as a mode of communication.  This condition, coupled with the fact that in order for an entity to get into the world of matter he has to go into a deep hypnotic state.  This deep trance state is brought about by an uncontrollable desire to "feel" through the physical body again.  This desire is NOT to be thought of as either good or evil, nor does it have any other moral or ethical aspect.  It is simply a natural phenomena that all mankind must go through in order to evolve mentally.  Now as the incoming entity begins to come out of his trance of birth and become increasingly aware of his physical self and surroundings it does not mean that he has wakened to anything other than that he is now a material body, independent of all other bodies in his new environment.  He is still subject to the laws of suggestion of both an internal and external nature, which means he is still in trance, and because the greater majority of those that have come before him are also in this self-induced trance, in varying degrees of course, he has almost no one to turn to for help.  The fact is that many people do have recurrent memory of experiences of astral life, but because the very nature of human consciousness is form building, whether expressed in or out of the physical structure, the forms that one builds in the astral are very like those he builds in the matter world, and unless he has been trained via the occult path he cannot distinguish one experience from another.  As most people already know, a dream in what is called the normal sleep state is often as real an experience to the dreamer as anything he has had in his wakeful state, and to carry this idea further, many individuals have experiences while awake that are so real while they are going on that they are ready to take a solemn oath in regard to their actuality, yet later events prove these experiences to have no existence in what is thought of as the external world of fact.  Such experiences are classified psychic and paranormal in nature.  Now the Wesbster's dictionary says the word "psychic" means "mental."  Then it goes on to say, "mental as distinguished from physical and physiological," and again, "beyond or from non-material forces."  Webster however was not concerned with either philosophy or what is called "the nature of things" but only with the surface labels called words and what these words seemed to imply.  For further clarification on this point, let us ask ourselves what, exactly, did he mean by the expression "non-material forces"?  Were there such a condition as a non-material force as something distinctly different from material forces, then existence would be quite impossible, for dissimilar forces would have no common meeting ground to bridge the gap between them.  Too, if we consider the fact that that thing called "existence" is made possible not by something called "consciousness" alone, but by something much more concrete called SELF AWARENESS.  Consciousness merely proclaims "I Am" but Self Awareness proclaims"I Am THAT!"  The instant consciousness makes the latter declaration about itself it has made a distinction—it has discovered that It is the Dreamer and NOT the dream, or THE Creator and NOT the created.  In your present times, the scientists in the field of physics say a bit of matter called an atom is ninety percent "nothing."  Perhaps that ninety percent nothing was what Webster meant by "non-material forces."  It matters little however what Webster meant when explaining the meaning of the word "psychic" and referring to it as non-material forces, because there is simply no such state as non-physical and the same statement is true of what your modern science asserts about the atom consisting of ninety percent nothing.  Such statements are not only confusing to the lay mind who may be trying to learn something about the nature of life but they are nonsensical in the fact they have no meaning — one can say "This thing contains ninety percent or ten percent something," or they may say "This object consists of so many photons moving at so many pulsations per split second."  Now even though it is quite legitimate to use the words photon, electron, proton, neutron, etc., we must not permit ourselves to assume that the name of a thing is the thing in itself.  Actually there is no such condition as a thing in its self and to assume there is, is to postulate a static and entirely homogeneous condition which would be impossible states for creation for they deny the basic law of creation, which is change.

Now my friends if you have been able to follow my line of reasoning and have been able to see an element of truth in it then you will see clearly what I mean when I say that "all creation and of creation is born out of the world of THOUGHT.  So all of the things are therefore but IDEAS."  The individualized consciousness centered in what is called human form first thinks — to think is to create.  To create means to become actively engaged in giving birth, or externalizing your mental creation so that you may better further its growth.  This same condition prevails throughout all planes of consciousness and there always seems to be an inner and outer existence.  Now if we are but the measure of our thoughts we shall be as busy with our thoughts in the so-called after death state as we have been with them while in the so-called physical.  Now let us suppose for instance one spends a lifetime in what is called the physical world with his thoughts and actions caught in the field of higher mathematics.  He may continue his seeking in that particular field on entering the astral world if that is his desire.  Now let us suppose again that one has been a drug addict or is driven by uncontrolled desire of any kind, he will find himself still held by those desires when he comes into the astral world, and permit me to assure all of you that may have any doubts about it you WILL be able to satisfy those desires or I should say pacify those desires in the astral, but you will also suffer the same sense of agony that follows such desires as you did while in the material world.  Of course if you are a Christian and a believer in the anthropomorphic God of Moses, none of the above need interest you for you are bound for one of three places — Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory.  This is a very fine arrangement, I must admit.  Not however for the followers of Christianity, but for the priestcraft of it, for it enforces either a constant sense of guilt and shame upon the adherent or one of sticky superiority and self-righteousness.  In both cases these people are dominated by fear.  Naturally, and I certainly must add, extremely fortunate for the Christian religion as a whole, there are a number of people that attend the churches that ARE truly Christ-like in their living.  These people devote their lives to others.  They are not concerned with their physical safety and comfort nor with what may happen to them in some future existence.  Their faith is not an "ism" but an unshakeable belief in the natural goodness of mankind at large.  These people fully grasped the meaning back of the words of Christ when he said, "That which you do to the least of these you do also to Me."  (Me — the Light)

Some afterthoughts from this Blogger: After reading these transcripts of 'The Inner Circle' presented in three successive blog articles, I find my thoughts focusing on some of the perspectives shared about the men and women who 'sleep' from incarnation to incarnation.  These souls are not among the expected readers of these articles and include unfortunate so-called 'skeptics' and 'denialists' who it would seem seldom even permit themselves to consider the evidence of the considerably large and articulate oeuvre of 'transcendental communication' reflecting the human condition in the ascended state or 'realm' of existence.  I can only urge others to help closed-minded persons expand their awareness about these wisdom sources, which one might hope to make the transition from 'esoteric' to 'mainstream' as befitting the New Age of Aquarius heralded throughout this body of work (or 'gifts of the spirit') and constituting humanity's shared birthright.  Beyond the proverb "That which you do to the least of these you do also to Me," it is also important to realize 'That which you don't do for the least of these, you also don't do for and with Me.'
